Ahoy there fellow Treasure Hunters! Dreamforce is just around the corner and I am looking forward to what new features Salesforce will be releasing. As with every year, Salesforce has something new to premier. So far, this year’s hype seems to be around AgentForce, in the Einstein AI ecosystem. But what is Salesforce AgentForce?

What is AgentForce Really?

So from the Winter 25’ Release Notes we find that the Einstein Copilot Studio is being rebranded, as so often happens with Salesforce, to what they now refer to as part of their AgentForce. As well, the Copilot Builder is now rebranded to Agent Builder. I can understand the change from “Copilot” to “Agent” as it better aligns with what the copilot and related tools really are in more general terms.

AI Agents in general terminology do the following:

  • collect data
  • speed up response times and reduce manual tasks
  • learn from interactions, enhancing their performance over time
  • analyze trends and behaviors to optimize sales strategies

Is this different from what we know the Einstein Copilot and Copilot Actions are doing within Salesforce. I would say it is no different.

So is there anything really new with AgentForce?

Is this only a rebranding or is there anything new to AgentForce? According to the Release Notes there are plans from Salesforce to expand on what is in the rebranded copilot.

News from Salesforce announced two AI agents:

  • Einstein Sales Development Rep (SDR) Agent: This agent autonomously engages with inbound prospects. It nurtures leads through personalized communication.
  • Einstein Sales Coach Agent: This agent offers training and guidance to sales representatives. It uses data analytics to provide real-time feedback.

And we will also have to wait until the larger unveiling with Dreamforce in September where they may reveal more of the tools they are planning to add to AgentForce.

So I will be patiently waiting to hear more on what new and cool features Salesforce will be featuring with AgentForce but in the meantime I will be reviewing the Winter 25 Release Notes digging for real gold.
