Get Ready for Your New Hyperforce Instance

Many Salesforce orgs are being moved to a Hyperforce instance in North America. Hyperforce, previously known as the Salesforce Unified Cloud, is the new public cloud based model for where your org architecture resides. The data center instances are going away as Salesforce moves more of their orgs to this model.

Data Residency in Your Hypeforce Instance

The most important part of a Hyperforce platform is helping Salesforce with data residency which keeps your business data in the region that it should reside. There are several articles on helping administrators prepare for Hyperforce migration, including my article on Hyperforce Summer ’23 and Winter ’24 Updates. And there is a Hyperforce readiness assistant that is available to run in your org to prepare for the migration.

Where Does My Org Reside?

You can check if your Salesforce org has migrated to a new Hyperforce instance by using the find my instance tool on Salesforce.

You will first need to look up your instance id within Salesforce by going to Setup, search for company information in the quick find box, and select company information in the results. On the company information page, the instance field will give you your org’s instance id. A good indication that your org is currently on a Hyperforce instance is through the first 3-digits of the instance. If your org has 3 letters preceding the numbers in the instance id, that generally corresponds to the org location for your Hyperforce org.

You can confirm your org is on Hyperforce by entering in your instance id into the search by instance field on the find my instance tool. The find my instance tool shows the location and the type of org you have for Salesforce.
