New Features for Salesforce Agentforce in Release ‘Spring 25

Ahoy there Treasure Hunters. Soon Salesforce will be updating all our orgs with the latest features. Looking through the latest release notes for Release Spring ’25 there are a few new features that I found interesting for Salesforce Agentforce.

Agent for Setup

New to the Agentforce offerings are tools to help with Admin tasks in Release Spring ’25. The agent panel in Setup is will include tasks to help with user access issues, creating report types, or finding information in Salesforce Help. This feature won’t be in the initial Spring release but if activated soon it seems like it will be a big help for Salesforce admins.

Agent Versions

Salesforce is now making it possible to create multiple versions of an agent that can be iterated on and rolled back to a previous version if there are any issues. The version limit appears to be 20 at this release and it is set to roll out as early as February of 2025.

Agent Quick Actions for Records

This new feature will allow Salesforce developers to add Agentforce to the Actions within a record. By creating a Quick Action on an object and selecting “Agent Action”, admins and developers will be able to use utterances such as “What is this case about” to allow users to use an AI to return a description of the case. This seems like a quick way to add AI to a case using the object actions through Salesforce. However, this wont be released with the initial Spring release features.

Show, Change or Create Salesforce Records in Bot Chats

This change will allow for users to search for records in certain objects. The results of the search within the chat could be viewed, updated or used to create additional objects. The current feature only supports the following objects:

  • Account
  • Case
  • Contact
  • Contract
  • Knowledge
  • Lead
  • Opportunity
  • Order
  • Task
