Prompt Builder Changes in Release Spring ’25

Hello there treasure hunters! I have been spending time going over the new features for Prompt Builder in Salesforce through the Release notes for Spring ‘25. We talked before about Prompt Builder in Salesforce and there have been a few recent updates that I wanted to cover.

The prompt builder in Salesforce is the launching point for building out Agentforce tasks within Salesforce. Salesforce administrators and power users can create prompt templates that make tasks easier for end-users, such as summarizing email, cases, or accounts within Salesforce. Within prompt builder you can connect your prompt templates to flows, merge fields, and Apex classes to LLMs such as chat GPT or your own companies internal LLM.

New Language Support

With the Spring ‘25 release more languages are going to be supported for the prompt builder according to the release notes. The supported languages that Salesforce already fully supported will be added to the prompt builder’s supported languages.

  • Chinese (Simplified): zh_CN
  • Chinese (Traditional): zh_TW
  • Danish: da
  • Dutch: nl_NL
  • English: en_US
  • Finnish: fi
  • French: fr
  • German: de
  • Italian: it
  • Japanese: ja
  • Korean: ko
  • Norwegian: no
  • Portuguese (Brazil): pt_BR
  • Russian: ru
  • Spanish: es
  • Spanish (Mexico): es_MX
  • Swedish: sv
  • Thai: th

Although these languages are now available for prompt builder, the Einstein Trust Layer that masks and detects PII,PCI, and other sensitive data may not be able to detect this data in the supported languages and so it is important to understand that your org sensitive data might not be masked/detected automatically. Salesforce advises to turn on Global Language Support in Einstein but this still will not guarantee coverage for toxicity or scoring for any languages except English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, and Japanese.

File Type Recognition

Another added functionality with prompt builder is being able to add files or images to your prompt templates to help with explanations, analysis and clarity for your prompts. These files can be either within your Salesforce org, attached to the record, or uploaded directly. The Resolution section of the prompt builder will also allow you to preview the added files to your prompts.

These new features should be available in the Spring Release ‘25 or earlier in prompt builder.
